I’m sorry I failed you this week.

They can’t all be first round picks.

Appeasing dictators does not work. We have again reached a time for war, and are woefully unprepared. This probably won't end within an election cycle, but will only cost more (in both dollars and lives) in the long run.

So I hope you do not get what you want in either Ukraine or the MidEast.

Hi @Paul Drake thank you for taking the time to read and comment!

I understand your concern but what would be the alternative to wanting those wars to end? I agree we shouldn’t want them to end just for the sake of ending of it causes more problems later but the goal can’t be entire annihilation or fighting out conflicts until one or both sides are out of troops so eventually a diplomatic solution whether that’s a treaty or cease fire needs to be reached.

I think history says that against adversaries like Putin and Hamas there is no diplomatic solution ahead of war, "the continuation of diplomacy by other means." A few years ago I thought the world unlikely to ever again be where we are. But the West is there now, it is time for war, and the US will in the end foot much of the bill. Alas.

Interesting that Hispanics vote share tilted towards the man who is anti immigration. Isn’t that what history has taught or aristocracy has shown. Early beneficiaries are the fiercest protectors of the system by which they benefited and oppose any reform or attempt that aims to continue the status quo
